Our Saviour Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant Annette.
Annette Marie Hamp was given life by her Creator and was born on May 16, 1963, the child of Robert Frederick Sahr and Darlene Joy nee Bloom. On June 9, 1963, she received the gift of Holy Baptism through the hands of Rev. C.W. Heilman at Trinity Lutheran Church in Reese, Michigan and became a child of God. On April 24, 1977, she publicly confessed her faith and was confirmed through the hands of Rev. Vern D. Hinz at Trinity Lutheran Church. She received the precious gift of the Lord’s life-giving body and blood.
On August 30, 1986, she received the gift of a beloved companion in her husband, Warren Hamp. She was blessed with the gift of children, Kaitlyn Joy, Isaac William, Rebekah Louise, Noah Arthur, and Luke Justus. God blessed Annette’s life with many special people as she served God in her vocations at home, church, work and in the community. Finally, Thursday,December 16, 2021 God blessed Annette with a holy death and took her home to rest in the arms of Jesus to await the resurrection of the dead.
The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our sister Annette.
Safe in the arms of Jesus, Annette Marie Hamp (nee Sahr) died peacefully on December 16, 2021, at the age of 58, surrounded by the love of her family.
Annette was the wife of Rev. Warren Hamp, mother of Kaitlyn, Isaac (Eva), Rebekah, Noah, and Luke Hamp, daughter-in-law- of Helen Hamp.
Annette was raised on a family farm in Saginaw, Michigan before moving to Canada to marry the love of her life in 1986.
She leaves behind her parents, Robert and Darlene Sahr, sister Lori Eggers (Rob), and brothers Dan (Janet), Paul (Sarah), Matthew (Angie), and Mark (Mindee) Sahr.
Predeceased by her father-in-law, Arthur Hamp in 2018, and her sister, Kerri Michalowski (Jeff) in 2015.
Annette was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She traveled frequently to Nicaragua with Faith mission teams to help bring Christ to the nation. Annette was a teacher for the WRDSB for over 20 years. She began her career teaching special needs students and finished it with teaching ESL to students from around the world.
Annette’s family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, December 19, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday, December 20, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467.

The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Faith Lutheran Church, 247 Westmount Rd. E., Kitchener.
Interment Williamsburg Cemetery, Kitchener.
