GAGNE, Alphonse Leonel
Sept. 15, 1941 – Nov. 14, 2021
It is with great sadness, we the family of Alphonse Leonel Gagne, announce his peaceful passing in his sleep at the Grey Nuns Hospital on November 14, 2021, at the age of 80 years.
Al is survived by his wife Debbie, son Darrell (Kimberly), daughter Denice (Jason), son Duane (Brenda), daughter Sheena, step-son Ray, 6 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, and 3 step-great grandchildren. He will be lovingly missed by his siblings Charles, Roger, Lilian (Adolph), Henry, Clement (Sylvia), Victor (Bonnie), Adele (Robert), Anne (Lyle), Marcel, Agnes, Janet (Kevin) and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He is now welcomed in Heaven by his parents Laura and Charles ‘Nap’, siblings Eva, Lorraine, Hector, Rita, as well as many other cherished family and friends.
Al was a very family oriented, honest and hardworking man. He was a talented welder, great backyard mechanic, and a jack of all trades. He was always generous to help out anyone with any project, no matter the size. He treated friends as family, and enjoyed getting together. He loved to tinker in his shop and garden, always keeping his hands and mind busy.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2:00 pm at Ryley Community Hall, Ryley AB. The Alberta Restriction Exemption Program will be in place. Masks will be given at door. Please do not attend if feeling unwell.
Prerecorded messages from anyone who wishes to submit one will be played at the service. The service will be recorded and a link to it will be posted later that evening. Lunch and socializing in the hall after the service.
Cremation has taken place, and Inurnment will take place at the Tofield Cemetery at a later date.
