Allan was born on May 6, 1937 in Assiniboia, SK. He left Assiniboia and moved to Regina where he met the love of his life Alma Kissner. They married on August 24, 1957 and were blessed with two children, Lynn and Karen. During their 64 years of marriage, Allan and Alma worked very hard, but also enjoyed travelling to their favourite destinations. Allan was the kindest, sweetest, loyal man who absolutely cherished his family and friends, and he would do anything for anyone. He was a mentor and was loved and respected by so many people.
Allan was a very hard worker and worked up until his passing. He and his father (Arthur) owned and operated Kissner Transport and eventually Allan sold it to CP (Rail) Express and Transport. The president of CP asked Allan to stay on as General Manager where he managed over 200 employees. After Allan retired from the trucking industry, the Trucking Association invited him as a guest of honour and he was awarded as one of the most successful businessmen in the Trucking Industry. In Allan’s trucking career, it was him and another friend who started the 1A Driving Training and Leased Operators. After Allan retired from the trucking industry, he then purchased CMS Metal Products LTD. in 1986 and it is still in business 35 years later. He was a mentor to so many people and he will always be remembered for his love and kindness.
