Allan’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Allan Michael MacNeil on Sunday, March 28th, 2021 at the age of 78 years.
He leaves to mourn with many loving and precious memories: daughter Marina (Bill) White; sons: Stewart (Liz LeSaga), Scott (Jana Chaffey), and Robert (Nancy Brown); grandchildren: Luke, Willow, Remi, Isabelle, Avylon, Carmin (Chris), and Connie; great grandchildren: Owen, Rozalind, Sevin, and Lawrence; partner Esther Oosterbaan; brothers: William (Audrey), Teddy (Dora), Paul (Clarice), Gary (Daphne), Hughie (Melva), Kevin (Amanda), and Martin (Allan); sisters: Sister Carmelita MacNeil, Loretta Dawe, Rita MacNeil, Gloria (Clyde) Savidon, Theresa (Ivan) MacDonald, and Catherine (Freddy) Flynn; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Allan was predeceased by: parents Neil and Annetta MacNeil; brothers: Melvin and baby James; and brother-in-law Derrick Dawe.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions a drive-up visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 30th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville. Please line up in your vehicles, when you reach the double doors at the front it will be your turn to enter the funeral home and visit with the family. Only one household at a time will be permitted into the building.
A funeral service, by invitation only, will be held on Wednesday, March 31st at 2:00 PM from St. Stephen’s Parish.
As expressions of sympathy, donations in Allan’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
