Obituary of Alice Kathleen Manning
Manning: Alice Kathleen (Broom) –
A resident of Village on the Ridge, formerly of Highgate, Alice Manning peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at the Village on March 12, 2021 at the age of 81.
Born in Tilbury Township Kent County, Alice was the daughter of the late Clarence and Gladys Broom (nee Vince).
Beloved wife of the late Arthur Manning (2014).
Loving mother to Douglas (Dawn) Manning of Tupperville, June (Keith) Nussey of Ingersoll, Carol (Peter) Verstraete of Bothwell, and Mary Manning of Warwick.
Grandmother to Clark, Georgia, and Sarabeth Manning, Holly and Kyle Nussey, Maurice and Kelly Verstraete, and Emily (Brian) Moore, Ashley Myers (Aaron Snively), and Alison Myers.
Great grandmother to four great grandchildren.
Sister of the late Olive (late Charles) Anstice, and late Donald (Dorothy) Broom.
Sister in law to the late Ruth (Telfor) Stirling, Frank (Jean) Manning, and Verna (Wilbur) Todd.
Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Alice will be remembered for her love of her family, volunteer work on the Highgate fair board, Highgate Women’s Institute, and Turin UCW.

Visitation will taken place on Tuesday March 16, 2021 at McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. E, in Ridgetown from 1:00pm – 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A private family service will take place on Wednesday March 17 at 11:00am which will be live-streamed with Rev. Wanda Burse officiating. A private family burial at Gosnell Cemetery will take place following the service.
