Obituary for
Alice Mabel Mable Cossey
On December 30, 2020, Alice Mabel Cossey – loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister passed away peacefully in Lamont Nursing Home at Lamont, AB, at the age of 98 years. Alice now reunites with her husband, Ralph and son, Grant.
Alice is survived by her three sons, Terry (Diane), Ross (Veronica), and Ray (Gloria); daughter-in-law, Delores; brother, Arnold; grandchildren, Curtis, Leslie, Carmen, Caren, Trish, Wade, Delane, Kerry, Allison, Tom, Chad, Lee, and Mindy; and a large, loving extended family and friends.
Born June 9, 1922 in the Lindbrook area just west of Tofield, AB, to Jack and Mable Bailey, farmers who migrated west from Ontario and Quebec, Alice was the backbone of all family decisions was a wonderful Artist, Painter and Writer. She completed several books about the family history and of other people after she retired to the Lamont Seniors Lodge. She was instrumental in organizing family reunions gatherings and entertainment events in her community and even in the Lamont Lodge. Alice also belonged to her Church group and the Herford Northern Lights Ladies club.

A Private Celebration of Life will be live-streamed through Alice’s Book of Memories via www.parkmemorial.com from Lamont United Church on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Tofield Cemetery. Donations may be made in Alice’s memory to the Lamont Health Care Centre.
