Obituary
Alice Best peacefully went home to be with the Lord on April 11, 2021 at the age of 88.
She was born in High River AB and lived with her husband and family in Calgary before moving to Edson in 1978.
She is survived by her loving husband Herbert Best and five of her children; Wayne (Marleen) Best, Brian (Nancy) Best, Darlene Best, Kevin (Michelle) Best, and Lynda (Clay) Cartwright. She is predeceased by her eldest son Raymond (Linda) Best. Alice was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Allice was a wonderful mother and wife. She went to work retail in Edson once her children were grown. She loved helping people and volunteered her time at the thrift shop.
Alice was kind, patient and loving. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and knitting. Everyone in the family has at least one of her crocheted afghans.
Many people in town will fondly remember her as the cute lady riding around town on the scooter.
The family would like to thank her doctor and the staff at the Edson hospital for their care and compassion.
Due to COVID restrictions a small family service will be held in Edson, with an interment to follow in Calgary.
