Agnes Adrian, 94, of Beaumont, AB (formerly of Grande Prairie, AB) passed away peacefully in her sleep with family by her side. She was born to the late Peter N. Penner and Agnes (Klassen) Penner June 5, 1927 near Rosthern, SK.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children: son Don (Valerie) Adrian, daughter Carol (Terry) Clark-Passmore, son Bob (Denise) Adrian, daughter Ellen (Rick) Baiton, daughter Judy (Tim) Vanderveen, her brother John (Nettie) Penner, sister Tina (Aaron) Friesen, 12 grandchildren and their spouses, 9 step-grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Agnes was predeceased by her husband William Adrian, her parents Peter N. Penner and Agnes (Klassen) Penner, her brother Peter Penner, sisters Ann Rempel, Sarah Fehr and Helen Penner, son-in-law Ron Clark and grandson Alexander Adrian.
Agnes’ passion in life was to serve the Lord. She sang in the choir in the churches she attended, volunteered in church, arranged lunches for weddings and funerals, knitted over 400 scarves for elementary children, volunteered at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen until the age of 80, faithfully prayed for family and friends daily.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses in the emergency ward and the pulmonary ward at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, AB and to the Leduc EMS for their outstanding care and compassion they gave our mother.
