Young, A. “Joan” (nee Leeming) (May 3, 1936 – July 4, 2021) –
It is with heavy hearts, we the Young family announce the passing of our much loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Audrey “Joan” (nee Leeming) Young, on July 4th, 2021 at the Norview Lodge, Simcoe, at the age of 85. Many will remember Joan for her 35 years of dedication as a teacher in Haldimand County- between Hagersville, Fisherville and Cayuga schools- where she primarily taught grades 1 through 4. Joan was an adherent of Mt. Hope United Church. Much loved wife for 62 wonderful years to Don B. Young, of Langton. Always a caring mother and grandmother to: Christopher Donald Young and to his wife Monique, of South Carolina, U.S.A and their children Alex, Amanda, and Jessica; Daniel John Young and his wife Louise, of Oakville, Ontario and their children Benjamin and Max. Survived by her brother Jack (Ethel) Leeming, of London, by sister-in-law Barb (Bob Ashbaugh), of Hamilton, as well as by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents John Leeming and Brenda (Goodman) Leeming, by an infant daughter, and by two brothers Ted and Herb Leeming.
Cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will take place in the Knowles Cemetery at a later date.
