Brian W. Currie, 73, of
Moncton, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday,
November 24, 2021 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Fredericton, and
grew up in Greenwood, NS, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Jean
(Mills) Currie.
Brian worked for The
Metropolitan for many years, before going to work for RCR
International as the District Manager for the Atlantic Provinces, he
then went to work for Cathelle Inc, before starting his own company
B&L Agency. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and
hunting, especially with his hunting buddies Tim Brine and Delbert
Hawkes. He loved travelling with his wife Lida, having been on many
cruises, Hawaii, and most recently his trip out west to Peter Lougheed
Provincial Park in Kananaskis Country, Alberta with Jason and his
family. Brian was a dedicated family man, who devoted much of his time
to make sure his family was well taken care of. He will be remembered
for his many dad jokes, and his nicknames he gave all the family
children.
Brian will be sadly missed by
his loving wife, Lida Currie (nee Hogan); his children, Tammy Hawkes,
Jaime Currie and Jason Hawkes (Kirsten); his grandchildren, Alana,
Taylor, Selena, Brooke and Anja; great grandchildren, Jaxson and
Alivia; sister, Merelyn Currie; as well as several nieces, nephews and
extended family members.
In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by his brother, Melvyn
Currie.
A Service to Celebrate and
Honour Brian’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 30,
2021 at 1:00 pm with family receiving visitors one hour prior from
Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995).

Interment will be held at Fair Haven Memorial
Gardens.
Those who plan to attend the
service in person will be asked to show proof of double vaccination as
well as a government issued I.D.
