Obituary of Brian George Collins
Brian Collins death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021 at the age of 90 years. Brian was born in Granby, Quebec in 1930 to his loving parents Margaret and George Patrick Collins. Brother to his beloved younger brother Paul (deceased) (Ruth Ann) Collins and their children Susan Collins and Catherine Collins, NS. Brian was married to the love of his life Joan Collins for 51 years who predeceased him in 2012. Their family lived in the Montreal area and spent summers in PEI. Actually he spent most summers in PEI since 1936. Stepfather to Joanne Dowd Fraser, Burnaby, BC and Gordon Dowd, Hamilton, ON. Grandfather of Joana (deceased), Dan, Ivan Chris, Samantha and Travis. Great grandfather of Jaime, Bridget, Alina, Connor, Liam, Maddox, Benjamin, Howard, Georgia, Norah and Holly. He will be also greatly missed by his friends Mary Margaret Land and Grant Curtis, Shannon and Malcolm Curtis and family, Danielle Curtis and Dave Moore and family, Maureen Land and all his friends. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, Stratford. No visitation or funeral service by request. A private graveside service will be held in Our Lady of the Assumption Church Cemetery, Stratford.
