It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving mother Yvonne Verbeek. She passed away peacefully in her sleep, at home, at the age of 89.
She was born in Prince Albert, SK and moved to Fruitvale, BC when she was 16.
Yvonne spent her entire life in Fruitvale building loving, lasting, long relationships with her community and church. She was an active member with St. Rita’s Church, a Girl Guide leader and hospital volunteer. Yvonne received the Fruitvale Citizen award and the Rotary International Paul Harris Fellowship award.
Yvonne was predeceased by her two husbands Jules Kyle and John Verbeek as well as her son Mark Kyle. She is survived by her children; Carole (Wally), Kelly, Lesley, Paul (Sandy), Randy (Gae), Therese (Chris), Johanna (Don), and Leonard (Connie). She also leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
At this time, there will be no service. Andreas Schmitz of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services™ has been entrusted with arrangements.
