Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our much loved husband, father, Poppa, brother, uncle and friend on Saturday, April 25th in Okotoks Alberta at the age of 84.
Wilson was born in England and came to Canada as a young boy. He had a career in the food industry working as a butcher all his life. Wilson retired from Better Beef and Zehrs in Guelph. He moved north to Wasaga Beach for a few years before heading west to Alberta to continue his adventures. Wilson’s love of community and work had him come out of retirement to work part-time at Sobeys in Okotoks, where he stayed well into his 80th year. Wilson enjoyed many years at his home in the Rocky Mountains. He loved being outdoors, whether that be to garden, build ponds stocked with fish for the grandchildren, or endless hikes and walks. Wilson offered kindness and smiles to everyone; he had the opportunity to meet in life. Wilson was so proud of his family.
We will love you forever and always!
Survived by his wife Janet of 61 years, his children Janet (Ron), Nancy (Ron), Sharon (Craig), Tom (Karmen), Jill (Dan), ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, siblings Betty, Bob and Marg (Paul), brother-in-law Viv (Jan) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his grandson Corey (2017).
