Obituary
Walter John Ewasiw
Nov. 10, 1948 – July 7, 2020
It is with great sorrow that we have to say goodbye to our loved one. After a short battle with mesothelioma, Walter passed away in the arms of his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marsha, son Kevin (Carmen) and their children, Devin, Danelle, and Terran, and his daughter Christina (Kelly) and their children Kayla and Kaden (Valerie). He is also survived by four brothers and a sister, Victor (Lorraine), Morris (Myrna), Joe (Sheila) Mildred, and Dennis (Sharon), and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by his parents, Mike and Helen in 1991, his beloved 4 pawed companion, Rocky, sister-in-law, Katherine, and brothers-in-law Ed and Danny.
While still working with the Boilermaker Union Local 146, Walter bought the family farm from his parents and farmed for 41 years in a way his dad would have been proud of. He could always be counted on to lend a hand or come up with a creative solution for whatever problem presented itself. Walter’s strong work ethic and determination are clearly recognizable in both his children and grandchildren.
At Walter’s request, he has been cremated and no service will be held. His ashes will be interred at St Michael Ukrainian Catholic cemetery at Tudor at a later date.
