Obituary for Walter Baumgart
Walter was born in Kiosh, Poland, and immigrated to Canada in the early 1950s with his mother, father, and three sisters. Walter became an apprentice plumber and eventually worked his way up to become an owner of his own plumbing business.
Walter married later in life but that marriage ended in divorce ten years ago. Walter never had his own children but he was a wonderful and generous « Uncle ». In the last ten years Walter lived with his sister Elsie and brother-in-law Ed. Walter loved to tell stories and he knew something about everything. He was an avid reader. Walter also enjoyed working in his garden and his tomatoes were the best! Walter is survived by his sister Elsie and his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and great-grand nieces and great grand-nephews.
We will miss him and he will forever be in our hearts.
Due to the COVID – 19 outbreak we will hold a celebration of life in the near future.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Emanuel House Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
