Obituary of Toni Van Zetten
Toni passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Monday, September 28, 2020. Born in The Netherlands, on March 31, 1947, Antonia Van Zetten (née Van Kooten) of Owen Sound, was in her 74th year.
Loving mother of Irma Hall (Ken Upton) of Shanty Bay and Erik Van Zetten (Skye) of Port Elgin. Cherished Nana of Rebecca (Brandon), Christopher (Jessica), Xander, Ty, Erin, and Great-Nana of Jayce. Toni will also be missed by her siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. Predeceased by her husband Jan Van Zetten (1989).
Toni was a faithful member of Georgian Shores United Church in Owen Sound and loved spending time with friends and playing card games.
Visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound (519-376-7492), on Friday, October 2, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, 50 people will be allowed in the building at any given time, and visitors are required to wear a mask and follow physical distancing rules. A private funeral service to celebrate Toni’s life will be held at a later time. Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Grey Bruce Animal Shelter or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home. Online condolences can be forwarded by visiting Toni’s memorial at www.woodfuneralhome.ca
