Thomas Murray Lynch
Murray Lynch, 99, of Berry
Mills, NB, surrounded by the love of his family, passed away
peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, February 23,
2020.
Born in St.
Thomas, Ontario, he was the son of the late Percy and Lillian
(Tempbellton) Lynch. Murray retired from Famous Players
Theatres with 52 years of service. In his retirement years, Murray was
well known as The Magnetic Hill Coach Tour Greeter (20
years). In his lifetime, during the 50’s and
60’s, he ran a radio program (The Man in The Night) with the
assumed name of Dale Crawford.
During WWII,
Murray enlisted with the RCAF, being stationed in Winnipeg, Manitoba,
with the Bombers and Gunnery
School.
Murray will
be sadly missed by his wife of 43 years, Margery-Lee « Marg »
(Horsman) Lynch of Berry Mills; daughter, Toby Blum (Wilf) of
Vancouver BC; brother and sisters in law, Howard Horsman (Joan) of
Riverview, Kim Horsman (Josette) of Vancouver Island, BC, Anne Long
(David) of Delta, BC and Vicky of London, ON; many nieces, nephews and
extended family members. Murray was the last surviving
member of his immediate family.
A Service to
celebrate and honour Murray’s Life will be held at Fergusons
Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road (858-1995) Moncton, on
Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Gordon Horsman
leading the service. Visitation hours will be held on
Thursday, from 12:00 pm till time of service. Reception
following the service in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.
Interment will be held in Horsman Cemetery, Lutes Mountain, later in
the spring.
