Theresa Eileen Wylie
Theresa E. Wylie, 90, of Kent
Junction, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday,
October 27, 2020. Born in Kent Junction, she was the daughter of the
late Peter and Leah (Chevarie) Whalen.
Theresa was a loving wife,
mother, grandmother and sister. She attended St. Joseph’s
Roman Catholic Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed jigsaw and
crossword puzzles, knitting and quilting. She selflessly put the needs
of those she loved before her own. She leaves behind many beautiful
memories for anyone who was fortunate enough to have known
her.
Theresa will be sadly missed by
her loving husband of 73 years, Gordon Wylie; daughters, Shelley Wylie
and Cynthia Wylie; sons, Kenneth (Donna) and Clayton (Katherine);
eight grandchildren; Courtenay, Holly, Catherine, Peter, Garrett,
Jennifer, Melody, Lacey; nine great grandchildren; Riley, Piper,
Alyssa, Cody, Kyle, Kingston, Atticus, Brooklyn, Adriana; and one
great great grandchild; Eden; sisters, Yvonne Stewart and Elsie
Stewart, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and
cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her
daughter, Joanne Wellwood; sisters, Gertrude Léger and
Katherine Sharpe and brother, Douglas
Whalen.
The family would like to extend
their appreciation and thanks to the doctors and nurses of the
Palliative Care unit for the compassionate care they
provided.
A family service will be held at
St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kent Junction at a
later date.
Arrangements are entrusted to
Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995).
