Obituary of Shelley Carson
Carson, Shelley M. – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Shelley Marlene (Michaels) Carson wife of Dereck Carson of Saint John, NB, which occurred on Friday October 2, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 24, 1975 in Cumberland, Maryland, USA she was the daughter of Debbie Michaels and the late Rev. Wayne Michaels.
Shelley was employed with RV Canada as the Parts Manager. She had an extreme passion for Christmas. It was her favorite time of year. She also enjoyed doing crafts, excursions on the side by side, spending time at the Millstream Campground, travelling to Cuba and the Dominican and collecting Dolphins. She loved to entertain and plan wedding and baby showers. Shelley had a unique obsession with clothes and Nail Art.
Besides her husband Dereck of 24 years, she is survived by her mother, two sons: Zachary (Shayla Nash) and Eric (Brooklyn Long); step-daughter: Haley Dawn Dycko: Brother Richard (Melissa) Michaels: brother-in-law: Hazen Carson; sister-in-law: Tiffany Carson; grandchildren: Jaxon, Harlow, Leo, Lilly and James; niece: Genevia Russell; several cousins.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Visitation will take place Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Guests are asked to enter the funeral home using the courtyard entrance, where staff will greet and assist you with COVID-19 protocol. A funeral service celebrating Shelley’s life will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 12:00 PM from Brenan’s Chapel, 111 Paradise Row. The service will also be live streamed for those not able to attend by visiting Shelley’s obituary. Please note masks will be required for the service.
