Sewell, Betty Rosalene
Born in St. Vincent Township on April 5, 1928, a daughter to the late Albert and Anne (nee Clarke) Lambe, Betty passed away at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Saturday June 27, 2020 at the age of 92.
Betty, a former resident of Meaford, was predeceased by her beloved husband Dawson Sewell in 1991 and by her son Wayne Sewell in 2003.
She is remembered by her surviving children Stephen Sewell of Cookstown and Judy Campbell (Larry) of Stayner.
She was grandmother to Kathleen Sewell of Owen Sound and Tammy Sewell of Oshawa; Sean Sewell (Tonia) and Jennifer Sewell (Johnny) all of Bradford; Theresa Campbell of Wasaga Beach and her children Gabriel and Alexandra, and Patricia (Ivan) Collins of Collingwood and their children Simon and Molly.
Betty is also remembered as a sister to Wyman Lambe of Peachland, BC, the late Walter Lambe of Alberta, the late Isla Burke of Oshawa, Effie Watterworth (late Leroy) of Toronto, Della Ormsby of Meaford, and Dove Griffin of Dundas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
Cremation has taken place and a graveside service of committal and interment of Betty’s ashes with her late husband Dawson will be conducted at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
