Obituary
Ryan Bryce Hall, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away suddenly on September 21st, 2020, at the age of 46. Ryan was born on March 30th, 1974, in Raymond, Alberta. He is the middle child of three sons born to Lylia Mae Prete and Morris Reed Hall. He lived in Raymond through Elementary School. He loved playing sports, especially hockey. Ryan attended Jr. High and High School in Lethbridge, and graduated from LCI in 1991.
Ryan went on to become a 4th year carpenter through S.A.I.T. He moved to Calgary where he took a job with Stuart Olson. He was a hard-working Supervisor and was passionate about his work. His crew respected and admired him, and affectionately referred to him as «Papa Ryan.» They were devastated to learn of his sudden passing and will truly miss him. He and his crew worked on Commercial Construction. He loved working on high-rise buildings, especially when there was no wind! Ryan often took selfies while on the high rise buildings and loved to get a reaction out of his mom!
Ryan had a true passion for life and always lived it to the fullest. He had the kindest heart, a witty sense of humor, and the biggest, goofy smile! He would light up any room he entered. His many friends meant the world to him, as he did to them. He will be fondly remembered not only as Ryan, but aka Hollywood, Fry Guy, Turd, Smiley and Ry Guy, just to name a few.
He was a true momma’s boy and he adored his mom. They were travel companions, best friends, and spent most of their free time together. He often told his mom she was his “best girl,” and would buy her bouquets of flowers, then tell her “Momma, I paid for them with your card.” He was always there to help and support her any way he could. Ryan’s friends all knew that they had to get through his momma to get to him! Their bond is so strong, even through death it will never be broken.
Ryan’s dad, Morris, loved his three sons more than anything, he thinks the world of each of them. Raising three boys was never easy and Ryan was always at the top of the list for making things interesting. Morris taught his boys to water ski, ride motorbikes, shoot gophers and drive. They liked to camp and spend time in Montana as well.
Ryan’s love for his family ran deep. Being the middle child, he was often a peace- maker in the family. He loved both Cory and Lori and Jesse and Kim dearly. His passing will forever leave a space in their hearts that will never be filled. He adored his nieces and nephews and had a special connection with each of them.
He was loved by his large extended family! Each one has their own “Ry story” to tell. They often called him a big teddy bear because he was so huggable and lovable. He left behind so many fun memories that they will always cherish.
Ryan was predeceased by his grandparents, Bert and Margaret Hall, and his sister, Kelly Hall.
He is survived by his mother, Lylia Mae Prete, his father Morris Reed Hall, brothers Cory (Lori) Hall (Darby Sommer (Shawn), Triston) and Jesse (Kim) Hall (Kinley, Karter). Grandparents Lyle and Trudy Prete, and numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
«Catch you on the other side, Ry. We love you.»
A Graveside Service will be held at the Temple Hill Cemetery in Raymond, Alberta, on Friday, October 2nd, 2020, at 1:00 p.m.
