At the Hawkesbury General Hospital on Friday, December 4,2020 Ron Wylie of L’Orignal passed away at the age of 72. Predeceased by his parents John Wylie and Doris Bangs. Loving husband of 43 years to Jane (nee Conway). Proud and caring father of Tanya (Laurier) and Steven. Dearly loved Grandpa of Adele, Luca and Jude. Ron is survived by his dear brother Keith (Wendy). Fondly remembered by his many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews. He leaves his Godmother, aunt Barbara Cunning (nee Bangs).
Ron was born in Verdun, Quebec. He spent his childhood summers at his Grandpa and Grandma Bangs farm on Green Lane Road West. As a young adult he enjoyed curling for many years.
Ron worked for Royal Trust in Montreal for 10 years and in Ottawa for 10 years. Then Ron and Jane decided to purchase a building supply store, known as Wylie Building Supply and ran a successful business for 34 years, until their retirement on October 31,2020.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St Eugene Catholic Church on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 11 am. followed by interment in the parish cemetery. For those who wish to attend the service must RSVP HERE, or call the Funeral Home at 613 678 2002to register your attendance. Masks and physical distancing are required at all gatherings.
The family invites family and friends who cannot attend, to watch the Live Webcast of the Service at www.hillcrestfuneralhome.ca and go to Ron’s webpage and click the Webcast button. A recording of the service will also be available to view soon after the service is completed.
In lieu of flowers a donation in Ron’s memory to Parkinson Canada or the Hawkesbury & District General Hospital would be appreciated.
