Roland R. Kennedy
1956-2020
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Roland
Ritchie Kennedy at his home in Clearview, NB on Saturday, December 19,
2020. Roland was born on April 4, 1956 in Bath, he was the son of the
late Paul and Elva (Morrissey) Kennedy. He was also predeceased by 2
brothers, Terrance and David as well as his beloved dog, Chole.
He was survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Marsha (nee Foster); 3
children, Mitchell Doherty (Marie), Ryan Kennedy (Christie) and Megan
Kennedy (Steven); 8 grandchildren, Adam, Gavin, Amber, Kennedy, Caden,
Gage, Sophie and Keegan; 2 sisters, Connie Lunn (Darrell) and Joan
Pelletier (Kenneth); 1 sister in law, Janeen Kennedy as well as
several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Rollie as we called him loved all his grandchildren so much and teased
them all. He loved calling and checking up on each and every one of
them. Weasel and flywacker were a couple of the terms he often used
with them. He retired from McCain Foods after 40 years and was content
to hang around home and his neighbors whom he visited regularly. He
also enjoyed his side by side, hunting, fishing and spending time at
his camp. Rollie loved his little dog, Zoe and his cat, Muffy (Meow
Face). He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from
6-8 pm. Respecting Covid-19 regulations face masks are required. A
private family funeral service will be held in the L.R. Giberson
Funeral Chapel. Pastor Harold Sparkes will officiate. A public
committal service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 2:00
pm in the Wicklow Community Cemetery. For those who wish donations
made to the Wicklow United Baptist Church Building Fund would be
