It is with heavy hearts that the family of Roger Desfossés sadly announce his passing on October 23, 2020 at the age of 85; 3 days before his 63rd wedding anniversary. Roger was born on May 28, 1935 in Falher, Alberta, the only child of Béatrice Morin and Edgar Desfossés
Roger is lovingly remembered by his wife, Gisèle; children Daniel, and Suzanne, his daughters-in-law, Mary and Mary Kathleen; Grandchildren: Alana (Kyle), Michael (Jem), Mathew (Mattison), David (Kaylee), Patrick (Rachelle), Gabrielle, Great-Grandchildren, Emily, Torin, Blake, Leo, Zachary and Derek.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter Megan on October 24, 2019 and his son, Denis on April 12, 2020, and his brother- in- law, Emile Bachand on May 24, 2006
He held a special place in his heart for his brothers-in- law: Clément Aubin and Rick Aubin, Tom Boyle, and sisters-in law: Cécile Bachand and Sylvianne Aubin.
Uncle”Rog” is fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Jo-Anne, Mike, Gerald, Linda, Clem Jr, Marc, Yvon, Ginette, Michelle, Christine, Sharla, Matthew and their families. Whether, they needed a Buster Bar, chocolate treat or advice about life, he had their best interest at heart.
Roger’s friends, whether they came from the Farm, Construction (Arthur A. Voice & KRAN), Airport Snow Removal, Travelling or Neighbours were made for forever. Many of those friends have been waiting to greet him in order to continue their discussion about sports, travel, current events and perhaps even score a perfect 29 in crib.
Roger believed in hard work, family, friends and the goodness of people.
We would like to thank Diane, and her team of caring staff of Unit 7Y at the Edmonton General for their kindness and compassion during his last days.

The Desfossés Family understands that due to individual risk factors some of you may only be able to join us in spirit, which we greatly appreciate.
