Rodney C. LeMoine

It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Rodney Clifford LeMoine, beloved husband, father and grandfather, on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Rose Blanche, Newfoundland, Rod was the son of the late George and Amelia (Burton) LeMoine. Rod was a graduate of Thompson High School; he was employed with Sears for 40 years, retiring in 1993 as the North Sydney outlet manager. He was a member of St John the Baptist Anglican Church, North Sydney, served on the parish council for sixteen years, member of the Married Couples Society and church choir. Rod served as the Secretary-Treasurer of Lakeside Cemetery for a number of years.
Rod is survived by his wife Blanche (Davis) LeMoine, by his sons Wayne LeMoine (Dr. Debbie Sheppard LeMoine), Halifax, Edward LeMoine (Tonya Brown LeMoine), Halifax, four grandchildren Kaitlyn, Matthew, Sasha and Jayson, also by a number of nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Rod was predeceased by sisters Mae Matchum, Adelaide Gracie and Annie Parsons, by his brother James LeMoine.
Thank you to the Palliative care staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for their excellent care over the past week.
By request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney. Memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Anglican Church.
