OBITUARIES
Robert Fox
1955 – 2020
Bob grew up on a farm in the Brunkild area. After graduating from high school, he attended what was then called Red River Community College and enrolled in their Telecommunications course. Upon graduating in 1974, he worked for MTS as an Equipment Installation Technician until he retired in 2006.
Bob lived in Brandon for 16 years and then moved to Killarney around 1990. After he retired, he bought a place in Mesa, AZ where he would stay during the winter. Whether it was in Brandon, Killarney or Mesa, Bob had many friends who have expressed he was “a very good man and a great friend”.
Bob is survived by his sisters, Lynn, Katherine and Pat (Al), cousins and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Martha, and Lynn’s husband, Brian.
We would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre for the compassionate care they gave Bob in his final days. We also thank Bob’s friends who got him to, and sat with him during, his chemo treatments, visited him while he was at the Grace Hospital and Riverview Heath Centre, and we thank those who sent their “thinking of you” text messages.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bob’s memory to any of the charities below:
o Alzheimer Society of Manitoba
o CancerCare Manitoba Foundation
o Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba
