Richard «Rick» Kenny
July 28, 1968 – May 3, 2020
Passed away unexpectedly in Ottawa on May 3, 2020. Rick, in his 52nd year, beloved partner and best friend of Brad. Loving son of Hubert and Barbara. Dear brother of Cheryl (Clyde), Rhonda (Darryl), Jim (Linda) and Paula (Leroy). Uncle to Stephen, Lee, Marcia, Ireland and Duggan. Son-in-law to Ernestine (Claude). Brother-in-law to Kim (Jean-Jacques), Lee (Wayne) and Lisa (Pete). Also survived by a large number of close family and friends, including Lois, Lisa and Barb. Born in Happy Valley, Labrador, Rick worked for many years in Ottawa for Health Canada, before joining Brad on a diplomatic posting to the Embassy of Canada to Poland. A special thank you to the Ottawa Hospital (Civic) ICU staff for the wonderful care given to Rick. Donations to the Trillium Gift of Life Network or to a charity of your choice gratefully accepted. A celebration of Rick’s life will be held at a later date in Fermeuse, Newfoundland.
