Rhyno – Dolores Ann 69, of Wildcat Community, South Brookfield, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 30, 2020 with her family by her side.
Born in Liverpool, Dolores was a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Paul) Francis.
Dolores was a devoted catholic and a member of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, West Caledonia and St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, Liverpool. She enjoyed the outdoors and, in her younger years, helped cut the power line corridor from Milton to Bowater Mersey Paper Company in Brooklyn. She loved to use her chainsaw and up to a few months ago, was still cutting her own wood. She baited trawl in Port Medway, worked for Jo-Val’s in Liverpool and worked at AFN Gas Bar in Greenfield. She held workshops for leather beading and enjoyed volunteering at North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia every Friday. She loved her family, spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great grandson and spending time with her sister Grace every evening.
Dolores is survived b y her daughters Tina Dixon and Elizabeth Reid (Brendon Bowers) both of Wildcat Community, South Brookfield. 14 grandchildren and a great grandson. Her sisters Grace Francis of Wildcat Community, South Brookfield; Bernadette Graham of Halifax, Theresa (Burt) Starnino of Quebec. Her brothers John (Janice) of Milton, Melvin (Rachel Falls) of Yarmouth, Stuart ( Bonnie) of Vernon, BC and Danny of Ponhook Community.
Besides her parents, Dolores was predeceased by her husband Terry; an infant sister Mary Jane, her brother Greg and an infant brother William John.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A funeral mass for Dolores, will be held at a later date in St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, Liverpool. No flowers by request, donations may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
