René W «Boo Boo» Brisebois
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family announces the passing of René W. (Boo Boo) Brisebois on Sunday, September 20, 2020 of at the age of 85. He has gone to rejoin the love of his life Rachel Brisebois (Leach) predeceased in 2017. Son of the late Léonard and Desneiges (née Larose) Brisebois. Loving father of Diane Séguin (Robert), Lynn Brisebois and Kim Brisebois (Craig Wallace). Cherished pepère of Roxanne and Éric Séguin, Charlie Gruebele and Cecelia, Catalina and Carlito Wallace. Dear brother of Maurice (late Simone), Fernand and Lillian Guillet (late Maurice). Predeceased by his brother Reginald. Sadly, missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was a miner at Inco for 37 years. In his younger years René enjoyed playing football, broomball, curling, bowling, golfing, and coaching his daughters’ ringette teams. He was inducted in the Football Hall of Fame. He also loved the outdoors and especially camping. His greatest joy was to spend time with his family and his best friend Sparky. A special thank you to “His Melissa”, Ashley and Lorna as well as the staff at St. Joseph Continuing Care Centre for their passionate care. In keeping with René’s wishes there will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 28, 2020 at 10 a.m. at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, Sudbury. Due to the pandemic, a mask or face covering is mandatory and there will be a limitation of 65 attendees. Memorial donations in his honour can be made to St. Joseph Continuing Care Centre of Sudbury. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
