Obituary
In loving memory of Raymond “Ray” Guillemette, 68 years, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 25th at his home on Lake Nosbonsing surrounded by his loving family after a short, valiant battle with cancer. Son of Rejeanne (Simard) Kindt, Evelyn (Fabre) and Gerard Guillemette (both predeceased). Beloved husband of Debbie (Briscoe) Guillemette (predeceased). Loving father to Alison (husband David Manzon) of Innisfil and Kari (husband Kevin Bombardieri) of Sudbury. Proud Papa to Carter, Ava, Kamryn and Reid. Loving partner to Michelle Guillemette and her children and family (Brigitte and Jean, Joel and Melanie and Benoit (Katelyn, Fiona, Ashton, Leslie and Abbi-Gail)). Ray will be sadly missed by his family in California (Brothers Don, Wayne, Monique and Collette (predeceased) and their families. Ray retired from Loblaws (National Grocers) in January 2008 after 34 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Nosbonsing Anglers and Hunters. He enjoyed watching sports, especially hockey and was a true Montreal Canadiens fan. He loved spending quality time at the camp in Grand Desert where he and Michelle planned to retire later this year. Ray was a very handy, hardworking man who could fix just about anything and held the title “Ray can do it”. A good friend to so many, he had the ability to strike up a conversation with just about anyone he met. He will be sadly missed by many close friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. In keeping with Raymond’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Whispering Pines Funeral Home. At his request there will be no service or visitation. A private Celebration of Life will be held at his home on Lake Nosbonsing. The family would like to thank Dr. Seguin and nurses Philip and Brianna for their exceptional care and compassion.
