SMITH, Ralph Albert ~ Age 87 of Meadowvale, Annapolis Co. It is with great love, respect and heartache we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend Ralph Albert Smith on Friday, April 3, 2020, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Ralph was born on January 28, 1933 in Gaspereau Valley, Kings Co., N.S. to the late Melvin and Lillian (Hardacker) Smith. Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, the former Verna M. Weaver; sons, Dale (Dawn Burgess) Middle Sackville; Steven (Melanie Belliveau) Prospect; and his pride & joy granddaughter, Aria. Ralph has been retired for many years and loved to walk around the area with a wave to everyone outside and a joke on hand to make them laugh, he loved to fish and hunt. The family would like to thank the staff at Valley Regional Hospital for their care of Ralph while he was there. Due to the respect of the current coronavirus concerns the family has chosen to have a private graveside service at later date in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square.
