The death of Peter Dunsten Joseph Tucker of Renous, husband of Vivian Hayes-Tucker occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the age of 78.
Born in Newcastle NB, Peter was the son of the late Andrew and Sadie (Hallihan) Tucker. He was a member of the St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church in Renous and retired from Armour transport with over 30 years of service.
Peter had a passion for fishing and could be found spending many hours on the Renous River. This love for fishing also travelled with him to Florida, where he spent the last several winters fishing on the gulf coast. Peter cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren who loved their Papa Pete.
Besides his wife Vivian of 44 years, he is survived by his sons: Douglas of Miramichi; Daniel of Riverview; and Matthew (Lindsay) of Miramichi; three grandsons: Tedd, Benjamin & Bradley; sister: Elizabeth Rogers; sister-in-law Beatrice Tucker; Hayes family: Tom (Kathy), Cheryl Buggie, Kenny (Heather), Burtis and Ronnie.
In addition to his parents, Peter is predeceased by: brothers Adrian Hallihan and Aloysius “Allie” Tucker.
The family will receive visitors at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, NB, on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 4-7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 11 AM with Father Dan Bastarache officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Please note: Mandatory masks and physical distancing guidelines will be followed at the church.
