Pauline Margaret Vaughan, age 84, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Born in England, daughter of the late Ernest and Kathleen (Marlow) Vaughan, Pauline worked for 23 dedicated years in a civilian position with Metropolitan Toronto Police before retiring to Stratford. She was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church of Stratford. Pauline liked to travel and meet people. She had happy memories of her sojourns in Cypres, Ecuador, Great Britain, and other destinations. Pauline was kind and compassionate and volunteered for many years at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto then later at the Stratford General Hospital. Her life-long knitting hobby produced many beautiful items which she lovingly gave to numerous charities, friends, and family throughout the years. Pauline will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Margaret Vaughan along with her many nieces and nephews; Keith (Rita), David (Sally), Catherine, Richard, Kathleen (Ted) Standage, Yvonne Lambly, Michael Standage and Pauline’s many great-nieces and nephews; Carly (Allan), Rhiannon (Simon), Olivia (Kyle); great-great-nieces and nephews, Lewis, Kallum, Saskia, India, and Darcy. Pauline also will be remembered by her many dear friends. Besides her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her two sisters, Maureen and Kathleen and her brother Gordon. In keeping with Pauline’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, 113 Bruce Street, Stratford.
