Orest’s Obituary
Orest Rostotski, beloved husband of Natalia Rostotski of Canora, SK, passed away at the Canora Hospital on June 1, 2020, at the age of 96 years.
Orest was born June 13, 1923 in Donwell, SK, to Louis and Annie (Klutz) Rostotski. He met the apple of his eye, Nettie, in 1949 and they were married three months later. Together, they had four sons: Eugene, Danny (Linda), Terry (Dori), and Orest Jr. (Laverne) and were blessed with seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Orest was a man of many trades including mechanic, carpenter, and sawyer, but his biggest passions were farming and his family. For 20 years, he was the president of the Stenen Orthodox Church, where he received recognition for his dedication.
Orest was a kind, loyal man who was loved by many. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Orest was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Annie; and his two brothers, Dr. Michael (Alice) and Paul (Annie).
Due to the global pandemic and social restrictions in place, a private family graveside service will be held on June 9, 2020, at the Canora Cemetery, Canora, SK, with Fr. Petro Tsenov officiating. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to the Canora Hospital Auxiliary or to the Gateway Lodge Auxiliary, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Orest Rostotski.
