Obituary of Norman Hutchinson
Norman passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at University Hospital in London, on October 19, 2020. Born in Sydenham Township on March 12, 1929, Norman Stanley Hutchinson of RR#5 Owen Sound, was in his 92nd year.
Beloved husband of Trudy Hutchinson (née Jaeger) for 42 years. Loving father of Ruth Hutchinson of Owen Sound, Harry Hutchinson (Beth) of Owen Sound, Carol Clark (Tony) of Chatsworth, Linda Hamill (Wayne) of Owen Sound, Julie Watson (Gary) of Coldwater and Scott Hutchinson (Cathy) of Hepworth. Loved stepfather of Petra Schennach (Chris Davison) and Patricia Schennach (Jay). Cherished Grandpa of 17, Great-Grandpa of 28, and Great-Great-Grandpa of three. Dear brother of Marion Ward of Owen Sound, Elgin Hutchinson of Owen Sound, Elva Wamsley of Walkerton, Muriel Alexander of Manitoba, Irene Rogers (Paul) of Owen Sound and Jean Hutchinson of Owen Sound. Norman will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by his infant sister Merle, his sister Lillian Sitter, brothers Melville Hutchinson, Keith Hutchinson and by his siblings-in-law Harold Ward, Phyllis Hutchinson, Clayton Wamsley and Art Alexander.
Visitation will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, 50 people will be allowed in the building at any given time and visitors are required to wear a mask and follow physical distancing rules. A private funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday, October 23, 2020. Friends are welcome to view the service at 11 a.m. via livestream by selecting the ‘LIVE STREAMING’ menu option at the top right corner of the funeral home website (woodfuneralhome.ca). Interment will follow at Annan Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Juravinski Foundation or the London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home. Online condolences can be sent by visiting Norman’s memorial at www.woodfuneralhome.ca
