N. Wayne’s Obituary
WESTVILLE – Nelson Wayne Nickerson, 74, Westville, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, following a brief illness, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Milburn Hatfield and Marion Helen (Smith) Nickerson. Wayne was employed with Michelin Tire, Granton for 29 years. He enjoyed volunteering with the Museum of Industry, Stellarton, singing with the Stellarton Male Chorus and attending Bible study at Muriel’s with is friends. Wayne dearly loved his wife and sons and took every opportunity to demonstrate how much. He lived his life believing in his Saviour, spending much time in prayer and Bible reading. His family and friends are comforted that his faith now has granted him eternal life and peace.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Rena (Crossman); sons, Peter, Westville; Troy (Christa), Westville; sister, Isabel Johnson, Athens, Tex.; sisters-in-law, Ellen Nickerson, Sandy Point; Grace Nickerson, New Brunswick; Vivian Nickerson, Shelburne; Edith Gillcash, Sackville, N.B.; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Marguerite in infancy; brothers, Lendall, Basil, Roger and Malcolm; brother-in-law, Wayne Gillcash.
Wayne’s life will be celebrated privately by his family.
