Moncton – Omer Gaudet, 77, passed away on Wednesday, November 25th, 2020, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, he was the husband of Andréa Gaudet (née: Caissie) for 54 years.
Born in Shemogue, NB, he was the son of the late Julien Gaudet and the late Emma Gaudet (Brun).
Retired from CN and HNR Block, Omer worked for 32 and 19 years respectively. Fervent believers, he and his wife have been active members of the charismatic movement for many years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother, Ronald (Thérèse); his sister, Irène Sherwood (Donnie); his sisters-in-law: Maria Léger (Roger), Gloria Belliveau (Paul), Claudette Caissie (late Joseph), Stella Caissie (late Gérard); his brother-in-law, Albert Caissie (Jeanne), as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions, everyone who attends the visit will be required to wear a mask.
Public visitation will be held from Passage Funeral Chapel (625 Mountain Road in Moncton) on Sunday, November 29th, 2020 from 2 to 4 pm, with a maximum of 25 people at a time.
The funeral mass will be held for the family only, from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, on Monday, November 30th, 2020 at 11 am, the funeral will be broadcast continuously and can be viewed live on the Facebook page at: www.facebook.com/PassageFH/.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Extra-Mural « Blanche Bourgeois » for their excellent care and service at home.
