Obituary of Mildred E. Chafe
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s on Friday, July 31, 2020, Mildred E. Chafe of Harbour Grace, age 81 years.
Predeceased by husband: Albert ‘Bud’; parents: Marcus and Nellie Noel; parents-in-law: Albert and Sadie; brother: Harold Noel; sister: Shirley (Shawn) Harris; brothers-in-law: Hubert White, Leslie Dove, Wallace Chafe, Ralph Charlton, and Kevin Kelly; sister-in-law: Evelyn Noel.
Leaving to mourn, eight children: Maurice (Gale), Bristol’s Hope, Fred (Karen), Ralph (Sharon), Debbie (Paul), and Harold (Pauline), all of Harbour Grace, Nellie (Brian), Tilton, Albert (Suzanne), and Kevin (Kim), both of Harbour Grace; twelve grandchildren: Brendan (Tara), Becky (Frank), Jeremy, Cory (Jessica), Melissa (Scott), Brian (Deirdre), Colin, Mitchel (Amy), Bernie (Adrianne), Brianne (Madison), Abby, and Emily; ten great-grandchildren: Madison, Rylan, Soleil, Jacob, Mason, Lily, Carter, Elle, Eden, and Isaac; three brothers: Mark (Diane) Noel, ON, Dave Noel, Victoria, and Jesse Noel, Carbonear; three sisters: Marilyn (Jim) McCarthy, NS, Sylvia White and Nellie Dove, both of Carbonear; sisters-in-law: Sandra Noel, Perry’s Cove, Elva Kelly, Glenda Spadafora (Joe), Beverly Sicard, Brenda (Don) Cousins, and Darlene Chafe, all of ON; special friends: Phil and Joan Mahaney; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Following government legislation due to the pandemic, a private visitation will take place at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace, followed by funeral service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Harbour Grace by invitation only. Interment in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace.
