Melissa Anne Boyd
1985-2020
Boyd, Melissa Anne, age 34 of Morristown, Antigonish County
passed away suddenly on June 13, 2020 at her home in
Lanark.
Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of Brian and Kay
(Gerrior) Boyd.
Melissa was a kind, caring soul who had a shoulder for
all. She had been a pharmacy tech with Lawton’s in
Antigonish and in Calgary, but in recent years it was Quentin and
their boys that were her life, and she was a great hockey mom. Melissa
loved reading, yard sales, going to bingo with her mom and the ocean,
and enjoyed taking her kids to the beach.
She is survived by her husband, Quentin; sons, Seth (11),
Nathan (8), and Chase (3); siblings, Jacqueline, PEI; Danny, Cape
George; Steven (Karin), Morristown; Tanya, Lower South River; Tracy,
Lower South River; and Craig (Lisa), Lakevale; many aunts, uncles,
cousins, nieces and nephews from coast to coast; special aunt, Aggie;
and her best friend, Leah Holland.
Predeceased by her sister, Marsha Lynn; and grandparents,
Josie and Helen Boyd and Wilfred and Mabel Gerrior.
A private family funeral will be held. The service
will be recorded for the public, and a link will be made available on
the website of the C.L. Curry Funeral Home of Antigonish on Saturday
morning.
