Maxwell Rumbolt who always had a smile on his face and a joke on
his lips, passed away after a brief but sudden deterioration at the
Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, NL, on
Saturday, December 5th, 2020, at the age of 80.
He was a kind and gentle person who loved spending time with family and friends, and never
hesitated to assist his community. He will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. Leaving
to mourn with fond and loving memories – his children; Neil (Carmen), Noel (Doris), Darrell
(Pat), Irving (Debbie), Owen (Lisa), Betty (Doug) & Christopher. He is also sadly missed by
his loving companion Bess, his 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
sister-in-law Louise Rumbolt, brother-in-law Gerald Janes, cousins, extended family & friends.
He was pre-deceased by his loving wife Lucy, and his siblings Ivy Mackenzie, Katherine
Organ, Gordon, Carl and Walter Rumbolt.
In keeping with Max’s wishes a cremation has taken place, the interment and Memorial
Service will be set at a later date once the stay-at-home orders and restrictions on group
gatherings are lifted, allowing family and friends to reunite and celebrate Max’s life.
