Martin John Szott
(February 21, 1929 – January 15, 2020)
Martin John Szott of Camrose, Alberta, formerly of Daysland, AB, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at the age of 90 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Gerry; children Marshall (Sharon) of Camrose, Darrell (Judy) of Bawlf, Roxanne (Jean) Goudreau of Edmonton, and Judy (Paul) Gleason of Red Deer; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings August (Barbara) of Camrose, Francis Tandberg of Hope, BC, Annette Fitzpatrick of Calgary, Alice Bliid of Calgary and Olga (Ron) MacMillan of Calgary.
Martin was predeceased by his daughter Kelly; brothers Mike, Frank, Joe, Edward, Rudolph, Peter and infant brother Joseph; sisters Helen Beattie, Victoria Peart, Angie Roberge, and Josie Scherrens.
A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, January 22 from 7:00p.m., at the St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church 3605 50 St, Camrose. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 23, 2020 from the St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 3605 50 St Camrose.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Martin’s memory may be made to the Hospice Society of Camrose and District or to the St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation.
