Obituary of Marjorie Johnson
Peacefully, at her farmstead, where she resided for 66 years. Marjorie Lorna Elizabeth Johnson (nee Woodhouse), of North Sydenham was in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Johnson (2013), for 59 years. Loving mother of Marilyn (Heinz) Plaumann, Nancy Johnson (Gashaw Abebe), Russell Johnson and David Johnson (Teresa). Proud Grandma of Jessica (Tim), Heidi (Leland), Mary-Ellen (Michael), Anja, Michael (Kathleen) and 5 wonderful great-grandchildren. Survived by her siblings, Bruce (Helen), Herb (Vivian), Laura Hargrave, Ken (Nettie), Allan, John (Doreen), and sisters-in-law Janet Woodhouse, and Jill Vickers. Also missed by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; Wesley and Jessie Woodhouse, her brothers Harvey and David, and in-laws Mary Catherine Woodhouse, Gordon Hargrave, Marjorie Woodhouse, Edith Woodhouse, and Keith Johnson. Marjorie was a long-time advocate for women in agriculture and volunteered with the Owen Sound Agricultural Society for over 50 years.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound (519-376-7492), on Friday, June 26, 2020, followed by interment at Annan Cemetery.
