Margaret Elizabeth Topping (nee Feist)
Margaret went peacefully to meet Christ on Sunday, December 27, 2020 with her husband at her side. She was born April 2, 1929 ona beautiful farm ear Reward, Saskatchewan. Margaret was the daughter of Odelia and Nick Feist with 5 sisters and 4 brothers.
She shared a wonderful marriage with her bestfriend of 50 years, Neil, who is left to mourn her passing along with her sister, Minette; her brothers, Linus and John; many nieces and nephews, and many close friends and former students.
Margaret.s dad send his daughters to Urusline Boarding School in Prelate, Saskatchewan and in Viscount, Alberta; often all subjects to 5 grades. After leaving the community, she finished her Bachelor of Education and received a scholarship to complete her Masters at the University of Alberta.
She came to Calgary and taught at St. Francis & Bishop Carroll High School until retiring in 1986. She loved her students and to the end kept in touch with. She was friends with many students having coached Volleyball and Debate with winning teams at the Provincial level.
In retirement she volunteered at Church and was active in Speech and Debate. She served as President of the Honorary Society of Canadian College of Teachers and loved her Golf at Pinebrook Golf Course and Bridge at many institutions.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, a funral will not be held. In her memory, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
