Rondeau, Marcel George
Marcel George Rondeau, beloved husband of Julianne (Laframboise) Rondeau, passed away Christmas night, Friday, December 25, 2020 with his loving family by his side at Northumberland Hills Hospital.
Born in Ottawa, Ontario on June 26, 1938, Marcel was the second born of five children. He was predeceased by his son Mark (1964-1988) (Connie Pearson) and was the dearly loved father of Catherine (Garth Rotor) and Theresa (Matt Vuk). Loving grandfather to Bryan, Brittany and James Rotor and Tatjana and Michael Vuk. He was predeceased by his parents Marcel and Rita (Deslauriers) Rondeau and his sisters Betty-Anne (late Charles Muldoon) and Shirley (late Gary Cybulski) and is survived by his brothers Roland (Pierrette) and Albert (Carol) Rondeau.
Marcel and his wife Julianne moved to Port Hope in 1966, where they raised their three children. They are the retired Owners and Operators of Rondeau’s Upholstery Ltd. on Ridout Street (now Brisson/Ghor Optometrists) in Port Hope, which property they purchased, built upon and operated out of for many years. Marcel was a resident of Hope Township (now Municipality of Port Hope) and a Parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church. He was an Honourary 3rd Degree Lifetime Member of the Port Hope Knights of Columbus and an Honourary 4th Degree Lifetime Member of James K. Tracey Assembly Knights of Columbus in Cobourg, Ontario.

Family and friends will be received at the Allison Funeral Home, 103 Mill Street North, Port Hope. A memorial Mass will be held at the Church of Our Lady of Mercy, 155 Walton Street, Port Hope. Date and time to be announced when allowed by COVID-19 protocols.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marcel’s memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church (Port Hope, Ontario).
