Malcolm “Lyle” Johnston
1957 – 2020
Lyle was born in Kenora, Ontario. He is the son of the late Helen Erickson Johnston and William (Bill) Johnston.
He was the youngest brother of six siblings, Duane, Garth, Lynne, Geoff, Lyle, and Krissy. Lyle shared his family’s love of music and was an encyclopedia of 50’s and 60’s music trivia. He was curious and enjoyed learning and reflecting on accepted knowledge. He spent most of his life in Winnipeg, surrounded by the love and care of his parents, Helen and Bill, his sister Lynne & brother-in-law Ray and his brother Garth & sister-in-law Francie.
Lyle will be remembered fondly by his many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Rest in Peace dear Lyle.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, The Winnipeg Christmas Cheer Board, or a charity of choice are appreciated by the family.
