Obituary of Maggie Okkerse
OKKERSE, Margje ‘Maggie’ peacefully at Kelso Pines Retirement Home, Owen Sound Sunday May 3, 2020. Maggie Okkerse (nee Bylsma) of Shallow Lake in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late John Okkerse. Cherished mother of Jay and his wife Mary Jane of St. Thomas, Baunita Mooney and her husband Dan of Shallow Lake, Marjon Grzegorczyk and her husband Joe of St. Thomas, and Ted and his wife Diana of St. Thomas. Loving grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 21. Predeceased by great granddaughter Lina Nelles and sister Catharina Woudstra. Private family funeral arrangements entrusted to the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth. A service with interment at Boyd Cemetery will be held at a later date. Expressions of remembrance to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Humane Society would be appreciated.
