Linda Strickland
August 8, 1948 – September 24, 2020
Passed away at home surrounded by her loving family at the age 72 years.
Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Dora Dominix; parents-in-law Meggie and Abram Strickland; sisters: Julie and Emily Dominix; brothers: Randell and Oswald Dominix.
Leaving to mourn daughter Michelle (Greg) Strickland and her father David Strickland; special granddaughter Jillian (Mark) Hurley and Crystal (Kenneth) Strickland; great grandchildren: Korie Grace, Juliana, Isaac; sisters: Eileen (Fred) Janes, Hattie (Clyde) Thornhill and Shirley (Melvin) Perham; sisters-in-law: Rosie Dominix and Sadie Dominix ; best friend and sister-in-law Norma Edgecombe (Jim); brothers-in-law: Geoff (Mercedes) Strickland, Bill (Emeline) Strickland, Ed (Bonnie) Strickland and Frank (Carol) Strickland; special nephews: Jamie (Roxanne) Edgecombe and Michael (Jen) Strickland; special nieces: Chloe and Bria Edgecombe, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Special thank you to Dr. Robbins for the care and support that you provided. Also, a big thank you to the Palliative Care Program Paramedics especially to Brandon Brown, Megan Carry, and Lee Dunne and all other paramedics, dispatchers and call takers.
Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday, September 27th, 2020 from 10am – 7pm, (COVID-19 alert level 2 restrictions apply – to find out more please view Barrett’s Funeral Home main webpage) with cremation to follow. A funeral service will be held at Barrett’s memorial Chapel on Monday, September 28th, 2020 at 11:30 am, interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Linda’s memory may be made to Pancreatic Cancer through the Canadian Cancer Society, NL Chapter.
