Lina Daigle
1929-2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear
mother, Lina (Cormier) Daigle of Cap Lumière, on Saturday June 6,
2020. She was married to the late Joseph Daigle (2007). Born in
Saint-Antoine, she was the daughter of the late Felix and the late
Marie-Louise (Robichaud) Cormier.
Lina was a devoted school teacher from 1948 until her retirement.
She was a strong woman who always made sure the need of others came
before her own. She enjoyed making homemade bread, pies and her
seafood casseroles. Besides her family, her passion was playing cards
(200) and working in her vegetable garden, flowers beds and feeding
the birds.
She will be sadly missed by her children; Roger (Cecile), Yvon
(Emerise), Lorraine Kivelos (Nick), all of Cap Lumière, Patsy
Daigle (Gerry) of Bouctouche, Louis (Anise) of Saint-Maurice, Nora
Daigle (Martine) of Ottawa, nine grandchildren and fourteen great
grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sisters; Elévanie
Arsenault (late Gerard), Thérèse Cormier, Anise Maillet,
Maria Maillet (Aris), Fédélice Thibodeau (Eymard), one
brother, Laurie, sisters-in-law; Laura Cormier, Claudette Cormier and
Paulette Cormier and several nieces and nephews.
Lina was predeceased by one son, Victor, one grandson, Denis, three
sisters: Claire, Dorice, Leona and three brothers: Aurèle,
Nazaire and Emile.
A private funeral service will be held at a later date in accordance
with public health directives.
In Lina’s memory a donation can be made to the
Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital Foundation.
Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral
Home, Bouctouche.
