Memorial Donation
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we the family of the late Lillian Ellen Edmunds (nee Organ) announces her peacefully at her residence in Port aux Basques with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020 at the age of 90 years. Born in Burnt Islands, NL, Lillian was the daughter of the late James and Olive Organ (nee Street). She was also predeceased by her husband John Edmunds, father and mother-in-law; Jabez and Roseanna Edmunds, sons; Leo Edmunds, James Edmunds, brothers; James Organ, Leo Organ, sister; Vicki (John) Hardiman, son-in-law; Ernie Nunn, brothers-in-law; Thomas (Classie) Edmunds, Don Processor, sisters-in-in-law; Berthina (Will) Osmond, Elsie (Tom) Herritt, and Rheda (John) Herritt.
Lillian leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her loving children June (George) Lillington of Port aux Basques, Gary Edmunds of Isle aux Morts, Keith (Velma) Edmunds of Burnt Islands, Marlene (John) Kendell of Port aux Basques, Renee Nunn of North Sydney, NS, Vanessa Anderson (Colin) of Port aux Basques, special grandson who she raised as one of her own Darren Edmunds of Summerside, PEI, grandchildren; George (Wendy) Meade, Kevin Meade (Leanne), Trudy Meade (Jason), Sharon LeFrense (Lori), Natashua (Colin) Osmond, Samantha (Blaine) Sheppard, Mitchel Edmunds (Janet), Adam (Robin) Edmunds, Brooklyn Anderson, Chloe Anderson, great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Kendra, Kaden, William, Craig, Dakota, Ciara, Kaden, Erica, Jackson, Nicholas, Sarah, Ethan, Jaden, Sierra, great-great-grandchildren; Noah, and Brooks. Lillian also leaves behind her sisters; Sarah (Clyde) Noseworthy, and Gloda Processor both of Halifax, NS plus many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
The family would like to send a special thank you to her home support worker Gail Anderson, Dr. Thomas and Jamie Kendall for their wonderful care and support.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th from 7-9 pm and on Friday, September 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at East Haven Funeral Home (Downtown Location). Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Lillian’s memory can be made to the family. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 2 pm from St. George’s Anglican Church in Burnt Islands officiated by The Rev. Canon Jeffrey Petten. Interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road, NL.
