Greene, Leonard Hector – Age 92 of Nictaux South Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully Thursday August 6, 2020 at Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in West Northfield, but raised in Liverpool, he was a son of the late Earl and Hope (Silver) Greene. Leonard worked as an Aero Technician. He was a longtime member of the Heat Engine Association of Nova Scotia. He had a collection of model trains made by his father and spent many hours building and maintaining them throughout his life. He recently donated his collection of railroad miniatures to Halifax and Southwestern Railway Museum located in Lunenburg. He enjoyed square dancing and was a 30-year member of the Fundy Squares dancing group. He spent the last 10 years volunteering at the Greenwood Aviation museum. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Edna Mae (Payzant), Nictaux South; son, Donald (Janet); grandchildren, Breah and Garrett, Eagle Head; sister, Daisy Greene, Halifax; brother, Walter Greene, Liverpool; sister-in-law, Carolyn Conrad, Harmony; brother-in-law, Elliott (Dawn) Payzant, Albany New. Besides his parents, Leonard was predeceased by his sister, Earline Sperry. A memorial service will be held in Leonard`s memory at Middleton Funeral Home on August 18that 2:00 pm.
